The 2012 RSPCA Million Paws Walk

It's that time of year again where RSPCA Australia organises a massive walkies across the nation to raise funds to help with the care of over 44,000 animals in there shelters each year. The walk will be held this Sunday at selected locations all across Australia. Depending on the location you choose to walk there will be activities and entertainment to enjoy as well on the day.

Beagle Breed Profile

Beagle were traditionally used in packs to  hunt small animals by scent. In medieval times the term beagle was used as a generic description for smaller hounds. English hunters with the help of the beagle would track hares, pheasants, and quail. The beagle would also assist in the hunt for larger animals searching through the underbrush to flush out. The name beagle is thought to have originated either from the Celtic word "beag" which meant small or the french term "be'gueul" which means "gape throat"

Creature Focus - Animal Photography

Anna Clemann started Creature Focus Animal Photography in 2005. Based in Melbourne, Anna uses a variety of techniques and location options allowing for greater flexibility ensuring that each session is different to the last. Anna recently undertook a project called Pet Tails, along with two other pet photographers, Anna captured a variety of pets to produce a stunning coffee table book to assist the RSPCA Victoria. To date the project has raised over $25,000 for the RSPCA.
