Weimaraner Breed Profile

Weimaraners were once widely used by royalty and aristocrats in Germany to hunt large prey such as wild pigs, deer and bears, yes thats right, bears! However, in more recent times the Wiemaraner is used as a gun dog and retriever of much smaller game, such as waterfowl.

German Shepherd Breed Profile

Also known as Alsations, German Shepherds were originally bred for herding and guarding sheep. Within the local communities in Germany,shepherds selected and bred dogs that showed traits of intelligence, speed and strength.

Scottish Terrier Breed Profile

Part of the highland terrier group, the Scottish terrier hails from Aberdeen with the modern breed originating from the standard of breed formulated in 1880. The unofficial emblem of Scotland is an independent and rugged breed of dog with its characteristic wiry coat were originally used by Scottish farmers protect their crops and livestock from foxes, badgers, weasels and rats.

Labrador Retriever

Originally used by fishermen to retrieve cork floats and drift nets in the St Johns area of Newfoundland, Canada. The Labrador Retriever earned the reputation as a hardworking 'water dog' .
