The annual RSPCA Cupcake Day

RSPCA Cupcake Day

Monday  August the 15th, is RSPCA cupcake day where cupcake cooks from all around Australia bake and host cupcake day parties to raise funds for the RSPCA

About RSPCA

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) is a non-profit, community based charity who actively works to prevent cruelty to all animals as well as promoting animal care and protection. As the RSPCA is not an Australian Government funded agency, it relies on the continuous generosity of the Australian public help by the following,

  • Animal adoptions
  • Volunteering
  • Fundraising
  • Event participation
  • Donations
  • Bequests
  • Grants
  • Corporate Sponsorship

How to get involved

The annual cupcake day is by far the easiest way for everyone to be involved in one way or another. The official day is the 15th of August but don't worry, if you’re unable to participate on this specific day you can still organise a special day for you and your friends anytime in August.

Once you have your day planned, register online to create your own fundraising web page. This page can be your method of communication by accepting donation requests, setting your target, posting messages and photos. If you prefer to do your fundraising offline, that’s ok, you will still need to register online.

Once you have registered let everyone know that you’re raising funds for the RSPCA. The website also contains ideas and tips on how to organise and help you have a successful day.

Competitions

Not only are you raising vital funds for the RSPCA so that they can continue their good work, you also have the ability to share in some of the great prizes on offer such as a Kymco Scooter. Every $100 raised gives you a ticket to win this zippy scooter that will increase your "cool factor" by 1000% the next time you pop down the shops to get your dog supplies!

Don’t forget your pooch!

Your dog can be involved as well; various pet businesses are running specials at the moment and donating percentages of sales to the RSPCA for the month of August.

If you’re making cupcakes for humans, you might as well make some for their dogs. Our friends a Sweet Chops are donating $5 to the RSPCA for every cupcake kit sold in August.

Your dog can look the goods in a Tolly & Applewood Fudge collar and lead. For the month of August, all proceeds from the "Fudge Range" will be donated to the RSPCA. That is a very generous offer by Tolly & Applewood so please check them out.

Hope you all have a great day and raise/donate heaps for the RSPCA!
